THE MOUSE

This poem was written by me (in 10 minutes flat). My parents thought it was very good so I passed it to my teacher Puan Chan, who then had it published in my school newsletter. This is my first published work.
The Mouse
It was the night before Christmas . . . .
In the darkness of the night . . . .
I walked into my bedroom . . . .
And on the wall . . . .
A scary shadow cast by lightning,
It was absolutely frightening,
I then shouted till I was hoarse . . . .
A mouse!
Then I ran across the room,
Which was filled with total gloom,
I then hopped into my bed . . . .
When I heard a great big BOOM!
It was caused by the mouse,
Which then ran across the house,
I was filled again with fright . . . .
But at least I was in a drowse!
